Proud to Support the Journey Behind Source in Surrey

Over the last few months, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working alongside the brilliant team behind Source in Surrey; Charlotte Webb, Will Ford and Lotty Fenton, a new initiative designed to help Surrey’s businesses buy local and grow together.

When I first met the team, they had passion, funding and a clear desire to make a difference, but like so many new projects, the 'how' felt overwhelming.

·       Who exactly where they speaking to?

·       How should all the different strands fit together?

·       And how do you communicate something new in a way that people instantly “get”?

What I loved most about this project is what happened once we created space to slow down and think.

-       I watched the team shift from uncertainty to clarity.

-       From feeling muddled to feeling confident in their message.

-       From trying to talk about everything… to knowing exactly what their audience needed to hear.

Very quickly, everything started to click, the project flowed, the events connected with the right people, and the team felt energised rather than overwhelmed. Seeing suppliers and buyers finally interacting in the way the team had always imagined was genuinely special.

One of the reflections that meant the most to me was this:

“Charlotte makes you feel at ease… but she makes you think. You work hard in her sessions, but that’s how you understand what the customer really needs.”

For me, that’s the heart of good brand work. It's not about clever words.

It’s about helping people untangle their thinking so they can move forward with purpose.

I’m incredibly proud of what the Source in Surrey team has achieved, and even more excited for what’s ahead as the initiative continues to grow.
